Vaccine Coordinator Training
The Vaccine Coordinator Training Program (VCTP) gives new Vaccine Coordinators a strong foundation to manage the program within their facility. The VCTP focuses on best practices for vaccine management. Other facility staff that work around or handle vaccines are also encouraged to complete the modules.

Flu Vaccine Training
Vaccine Coordinators may now order influenza vaccines for Vaccines For Children (VFC) and Adult Influenza Program-eligible patients. As in past years, all Vaccine Coordinators are required to complete two training modules before a facility is authorized to order VFC and adult public influenza vaccines.
Both modules must be completed in the training platform TRAIN Wyoming. Those without a TRAIN account will need to create one. Follow these instructions to begin training:
-
After logging in to TRAIN Wyoming, locate each training module by searching the following training titles or by clicking on the links below:
-
Upon completion, follow the instructions to save the certificate for your records.
The Immunization Unit checks completion status once each business day. The flu order set will be available after both vaccine coordinators have completed the module. There is no deadline to complete training. Most orders are processed on Mondays, however flu vaccine orders may be placed within the Wyoming Immunization Registry (WyIR) at any time.
Please remember to order VFC and Adult Influenza Program vaccines based on eligible populations only. As discussed in the training module for the Adult Influenza Program, doses can be used to vaccinate any individual age 19 and older, regardless of residency, insurance status, or other determining factors; however, these doses are intended to supplement privately purchased influenza vaccine doses and should be prioritized for patients with no insurance or otherwise unable to afford a flu vaccine. Providers can charge a vaccine administration fee however, a patient cannot be denied the vaccine due to inability to pay. VFC Influenza vaccine can be used ONLY for VFC-eligible children.
