The Chronic Disease/MCH Epidemiology Unit is comprised of three main programs, Maternal and Child Health (MCH) Epidemiology, Cancer Surveillance and the Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System.
Each program collects, analyzes and disseminates data related to chronic or MCH-related disease, conditions and risk factors. This information is used by other WDH programs and other prevention organizations to monitor the health of Wyoming residents, support policy changes, assist in program evaluation, respond to inquiries from the media, assist community health planners, educate and inform legislators and advocacy groups; and monitor progress toward national and state performance objectives.
