The Preparedness and Response Unit serves as the emergency management coordination unit for the Wyoming Department of Health. The State Health Response Coordination Center (SHRCC) functions as a centrally located emergency operations center where agency leadership and the Response Coordination Team (RCT) can collaborate and make informed decisions while coordinating a public health and medical emergency response. Our goal is to prepare public health systems to respond to and recover from emergencies, as well as prepare the health care delivery system to save lives during emergencies.
Public Health Preparedness and Response
The Public Health Preparedness and Response Unit (PHPR) strengthens preparedness and integrates federal, state, tribal, private sector, non-governmental organizations, healthcare entities, and local public health responses to pandemics, natural disasters, terrorism, and other public health emergencies.
