What is Community EMS?
The CEMS concept utilizes Emergency Medical Service personnel in the provision of healthcare services other than responding to emergencies. While every CEMS program may be different, many of them become involved in work within the community such as the management of post-surgical patients, monitoring of chronic diseases, telehealth connections to specialists, prescription drug resolution and education, and many other types of services.
