What is Community EMS?
The CEMS concept utilizes Emergency Medical Services personnel to provide healthcare services beyond emergency response. While every CEMS program may be different, many of them become involved in work within the community, such as the management of post-surgical patients, monitoring of chronic diseases, telehealth connections to specialists, prescription drug resolution and education, and many other types of services.
