Gaining an EMS license in Wyoming

To gain licensure in Wyoming, go to the Online Wyoming Licensing System website at owls.wyo.gov. This site handles all Wyoming application processes.

Please follow these steps to apply for your Wyoming EMS licenses.

1. go to Https://OWLS.WYO.GOV and create an account 

2. Once you have completed your OWLS account, click on the Applications Tab on the right-hand side.

3. Click Start under Applications. Read through the information on that page.

4. Scroll all the way to the bottom of the page, and click on the “View all Personnel Applications” Link 

5. Click “Apply Now” next to the  Initial/Upgrade License Application – All Levels application.

Supporting Certifications / Documents required for Initial Licensing:

All applicants upload:

• Driver’s License or State-issued ID card (front and back)
• BLS CPR card (front)
• NREMT certification card (If any) – Ensure it’s your NREMT Card as it needs to show the expiration date.
• Any other documentation you think would aid us in your licensing

Intermediate and Paramedic applicants also include:

• ACLS card (front)

Upload all supporting documents as requested through the application. Ensure you print off a copy of the Wyoming DCI fingerprint information, as you will need to complete a background through Wyoming DCI (We cannot accept backgrounds completed by any agency other than Wyoming DCI).
