MOMs Plus Program (2024 – 2026)
The Wyoming Perinatal Quality Collaborative has partnered with MOMs Plus (Maternal Overdose Matters) Program to assess the current landscape for treatment and recovery of perinatal substance use disorders (SUDs) in Wyoming, and focus on helping birthing hospitals statewide provide access to treatment and recovery for this vulnerable population. MOMs Plus supports several state Perinatal Quality Collaboratives nationwide. The MOMs Plus program works directly with participating hospitals to improve their SUD screening, patient care coordination, and naloxone distribution by:
- Conducting hospital surveys and community assessments
- Delivering tailored needs assessments and gap analyses
- Providing best-practice implementation recommendations
- Facilitating partnerships with local providers and organizations
- Offering hands-on support for launching new services and programs
Seven (7) birthing hospitals are currently participating in this program.
