To help improve the accuracy and timeliness of newborn screens originating from birthing facilities, the Wyoming Newborn Screening program identified metrics integral to the program. These important parameters are collected by our partner, the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment Lab, and allows us to share with birthing facilities how they’re doing individually as well as compared to the rest of the state to support quality improvement efforts.
