CPS Recertification Application Packet
How long does certification last?
IC&RC Prevention Specialist certifications encompasses two calendar years. The issue date and expiration date will present on the certificate.
If I have an Associate’s degree, do the requirements change?
No. Only a Bachelor’s degree can fulfill the Employment Experience section requirement. The classwork within an Associate’s Degree can be used for the Education section requirements, if applicable. Additionally, higher degrees do not change the requirements, but they can also use the classwork toward the Education section, if applicable.
How do I provide documentation for trainings that did not offer a certificate?
Any supporting documentation such as a copy of the registration and/or the post-survey that many webinars send. The Wyoming Member Board will contact you if supporting documentation is insufficient.
How do I calculate my employment hours?
For all previous relevant employment, you must include hours worked per week and dates employed. Multiply the number of hours worked per week by the number of weeks worked. (Ex: 40 hours per week from January 1, 2011 – July 1, 2013 = 2 years 6 months = 130 weeks X 40 hours/week = 5,200 hours.) You can also use a date calculator that can be found online. Exact dates are needed.
