These data give an estimate of how many children were exposed to lead in a given year. These data will be updated periodically and may not represent the final tallies for a year. These data do not represent the health effects, if any, that the children with confirmed exposure may have experienced. For these data, including 2021 tests prior to the CDC Blood Lead Reference Value update, lead exposure is defined as a level of 3.5 or more micrograms of lead per deciliter of blood. A confirmed exposure is defined as a blood lead level obtained via a venous blood test or 2 elevated capillary tests within 12 weeks of each other. This data was prepared by the Wyoming Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Program.
