In 2023, most employed adults (83%) in Wyoming reported that they were not exposed to secondhand smoke at their workplace. Still, 17% of employed adults reported experiencing secondhand smoke indoors or outdoors at their workplace (ATS, 2023).
Protecting your workplace from secondhand smoke
The harm caused by secondhand smoke is preventable. Comprehensive tobacco-free policies that prohibit smoking in all areas of indoor spaces, including vehicles, are the best way to fully protect people who do not smoke from secondhand smoke exposure.
Comprehensive tobacco-free policies can also help workers quit smoking and can help keep young people from starting to smoke.
