Certification Renewal

A certification renewal grants the same rights and imposes the same duties as an initial certification under the current Wyoming Rules and Regulations Standards for Mental Health and Substance Use Disorder Services found in Chapter 2, Section 4(b).

Renewal Application Guidance
In order to renew state certification, a certified provider shall:

• Submit a completed renewal application, along with supporting documentation, to the online Behavioral Health Management System (BHMS).
• Submit the renewal application no less than thirty (30) calendar days prior to the expiration date of the current certification period.

  • Review the required document information below.

Things to keep in mind

• The Behavioral Health Division (Division) has 30 days to review complete applications and documentation.
• Incomplete or non-submitted renewal applications remaining in BHMS past the certification renewal due date will be closed and the provider marked as inactive. A new application will need to be submitted if closed.
• Providers will have the opportunity to exit and re-enter the renewal application. The application will not need to be completed in one sitting.
