Save the Date - Community Engagement Sessions to Discuss Rules Governing the Supports and Comprehensive Waivers
The Comprehensive and Supports Waivers (DD Waivers) provide funding so that individuals with developmental disabilities, intellectual disabilities, and acquired brain injuries can receive services in their communities as an alternative to an institutional setting.
Chapter 44, 45, and 46 of the Department of Health’s Medicaid Rules will need to be amended to align with changes to the Comprehensive and Supports Waivers, which became effective April 1, 2019. As part of the rule review process, the Division has assembled a Rules Advisory Committee, which includes representatives from large, medium, and small providers, case managers, legally authorized representatives, a self-advocate, and representatives from the Wyoming Governor’s Council on Developmental Disabilities, the Wyoming Institute for Disabilities, and Protection and Advocacy.
Once this committee proposes recommendations for revisions to rules that may be creating barriers for the individuals receiving services, the Division will conduct public engagement sessions throughout the state to seek informal input on the recommended changes, prior to the formal public input period, which will begin on, or around August 1, 2019.
