Join us on a webinar for World Elder Abuse Awareness Day (WEAAD) June 15th, 2026
On Monday, June 15, 2026, we join the global community in observing World Elder Abuse Awareness Day to advocate for the safety and dignity of our seniors. We encourage everyone to wear purple as a symbol of solidarity and to take a moment to learn the signs of elder exploitation and neglect. By raising awareness and fostering a culture of respect, we can help ensure that the older members of our community live free from harm and remain valued contributors to our society. WEAAD was established to raise awareness of the neglect, financial exploitation, and physical mistreatment of older adults, this year’s focus centers on building stronger community supports and systems that actively prevent elder abuse.
The Wyoming Department of Health – Aging Division, Community Living Section in partnership with the Wyoming Department of Family Services, Adult Protection Services will host the World Elder Abuse Awareness Day, June 15, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
