When should you call a poison center?
You can call the poison center anytime someone may have been poisoned with chemicals, medicine, or household items. Call 911 if the person is unconscious or can’t be awakened, has collapsed, had a seizure, or has trouble breathing.

In 2024, there were 1,893 human cases reported to the Wyoming Poison Center. Over one quarter (26.36%) of human exposure cases were among children 1-5 years of age, and over half (51%) were among people under 19 years of age. The top 10 drug and non-drug exposure substances reported in 2024 Wyoming Poison Center cases are outlined in the table below.
