The Wyoming Life Resource Center (WLRC) follows the Green House model of care, which creates a unique opportunity for residents (elders) and staff (shahbazim) alike. Aligned with the model’s three primary elements—real home, meaningful life and empowered staff—WLRC empowers nursing staff by:
- Promoting the ability to self-manage their schedule and rotate daily duties
- Maintaining a non-hierarchical staffing structure
- Favoring more casual dress over traditional scrubs
