Rural Health Leadership Academy
National Rural Health Association (NRHA)
October 17, 2024 – Begin Date
Leadership is the most significant predictor of a community’s well-being and an organization’s success. With all the challenges rural healthcare is confronted with, that is particularly true. Great leaders are continuous learners who are always looking to improve. Do you know someone ready to improve their leadership skills? The Rural Health Leadership Academy can help by delivering enhanced leadership skills to current and emerging rural health leaders. The curriculum will be based on the Dynamic Rural Health Leadership Model (Figure 1) developed by Bill Auxier, Ph.D.
The Rural Health Leadership Academy (RHLA) is a 10-week combination of self- and group learning designed to assist rural health leaders in becoming more effective leaders. It improves the viability of rural hospitals, clinics, and other organizations focused on rural health and well-being and empowers them to create a culture of health and well-being within their respective communities.
