National Prescription Drug Take Back Day – April 27th, 2024
The next National Prescription Drug Take Back Day is Saturday, April 27th, 2024 from 10am-2pm local time. The Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) sponsors this event bi-annually across the nation. The purpose of these events is to offer a convenient opportunity to dispose of any unwanted medications while providing public education on potential abuse of medications. Collection sites will not accept syringes, sharps, and illicit drugs. Liquid products, such as cough syrup, should remain tightly sealed in their original container. The Take Back Event will also continue to accept vaping devices and cartridges (provided that the lithium batteries have been removed prior to disposal).
