The sidebar navigation displays only the pages that are children of the first parent page with a defined page header.
For example, if Office of Emergency Medical Services has not defined a page header for their section, then all pages that are children of Public Health Division will be displayed in the sidebar when viewing pages within EMS.
On the other hand, if EMS has a defined page header, then only the pages that are children of EMS will be displayed in the sidebar when viewing pages within EMS.
Additionally, the sidebar is designed to display the current page and the ancestors of the current page (if current page is more than one level removed from the top-level pages) to show the user where he/she is in the website.
Page items with children pages are displayed with caret to the right of the link. To expand or collapse a page item to view its children, click on the caret.
The sidebar listing is alphabetical by default, but can be manipulated with the use of numerals under “Order” in the “Page Attributes” box that you can see when creating or editing a page within Divi.
When creating or editing a page, do NOT click on the box that says “Exclude Page Fields.”
