Ombudsman – A Swedish word, meaning legal representative, an ombudsman is a person who investigates and attempts to resolve complaints and problems.
The Wyoming Department of Health employs a state long-term care ombudsman and contracts with a private, nonprofit organization to employ three regional long-term care ombudsman representatives. Wyoming Senior Citizens, Inc. (WSCI) currently provides long-term care ombudsman service across the state. More information about WSCI can be found at www.wyomingseniors.com.
