Firearm Notice for WDH Facilities

Beginning July 1, 2025, changes to Wyoming law will ease restrictions on the carrying of concealed firearms in certain public buildings. However, some WDH facilities remain exempt from this change under Wyo. Stat. § 6-8-101 et seq.  Accordingly, firearms are not allowed at the following locations:

Wyoming Department of Health, Direct Care Facilities:

• Wyoming Retirement Center (Basin): 890 Highway 20 South
• Veteran’s Home of Wyoming (Buffalo): 700 Veteran’s Lane 
• Wyoming State Hospital (Evanston): 831 Highway 150 South 
• Wyoming Life Resource Center (Lander): 8204 Wyoming Highway 789 
• Wyoming Pioneer Home (Thermopolis): 141 Pioneer Home Drive
