The American Rescue Plan (ARP), Small Rural Hospital Improvement Grant Program (SHIP) COVID-19 testing and mitigation grant support seventeen (17) of Wyoming’s small rural hospitals with funding for testing and mitigation of COVID-19. The performance period is from January 1, 2021, through December 31, 2022. These federal funds are one-time funding under Section 711 of the Social Security Act (42 USC 711 (c)). Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) released the revised Notice of Award on May 19, 2022, for four million, three hundred ninety-two thousand, three hundred ninety-two dollars ($4,392,392.00) in federal funds. The funding for each hospital is two hundred fifty-seven thousand, three hundred sixty-four dollars ($257,364.00).

HRSA requires quarterly data reporting for the hospital receiving ARP SHIP funds. The reporting is through the SHIP COVID-19 Testing and Mitigation Reporting Portal. www.shipcovidreporting.com.
Any hospital that purchased equipment with SHIP-COVID dollars must provide an itemized list of each item purchased to their state SHIP Coordinator. Only items with a unit cost of $5,000 or more are considered equipment. Items under $5,000 per unit do not need to be included.
Hospitals must report minor alterations and renovations quarterly to the State Office of Rural Health by completing the Project Implementation Certification and Project Completion Certification. The forms are here: https://www.ruralcenter.org/ship/american-rescue-plan
