NREMT Certification Testing
NREMT certification examinations are intended to evaluate the competence of EMS practitioners at a variety of levels. The tests address content areas defined and validated by subject matter experts, educators and individuals working in EMS fields.
Registering for Testing
Prior to scheduling an examination, you must have the following completed:
- Contact a Wyoming Office of EMS trainer in Wyoming at (888) 228-8996 or out of Wyoming (307) 777-7955 and receive an authorization to test letter. Additional contact information may be located at www.health.wyo.gov/sho/ems by clicking on the "About EMS / Contact Information" link in the left hand menu.
- Received notification of your elegibility to sit for the examination from the Wyoming EMS Office
- Paid an examination authorization fee to the NREMT
When you receive the Authorization to Test letter, carefully review the information to ensure it is accurate. If any of the information is incorrect, or if the information has changed, please contact a trainer with the Wyoming Office of Emergency Medical Services.
Scheduling
First time test takers who wish to schedule online must create a Person VUE web account. When creating your account and scheduling your test, you will nee your NREMT Candidate ID from the Authorization to Test letter. Appointments may be made up to one business day in advance.
