Strategic Prevention Framework State Incentive Grant (SPF-SIG)

The Wyoming Department of Health, Mental Health & Substance Abuse Services Division is helping to reduce the Misuse of Alcohol in Wyoming through the distribution of the Strategic Prevention Framework State Incentive Grant (SPF-SIG) to all 23 counties and the Wind River Indian Reservation. The overall goals of the Prevention Framework project are to prevent the onset and reduce the progression of alcohol misuse, reduce alcohol-related problems in communities, and build prevention capacity and infrastructure at the county level. The SPF-SIG provides funding to implement evidence-based programs, practices, and policies, and it changes the unit of analysis for prevention research from the program to the community.
