The Wyoming Legislature has set aside a considerable amount of your tax dollars to provide quality mental health and addiction treatment and counseling services in every county of the state. State law requires the Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services Division to establish guidelines for the fees that publicly funded treatment programs may charge for services. The law requires (1) the fee schedule must consider ability of clients to pay; and (2) no person may be denied services based on race, creed, color, national origin or ability to pay. If you believe you have been unfairly denied services, please call Janet Jares, client advocate, at (307) 777-6494 or the Mental Health Ombudsman at 1-888-857-1942.
