Collecting Donations
All registered donation collection sites must...
- Donation Sites must ensure secure medication collection and storage procedures for their site.
- Donation Sties must ensure that Donors complete a Donor Form that must be attached to the donation (e.g. stapled to bag, inserted in bag, or taped to bottle) and stored in the collection container until shipment to the WMDP.
- All collected donations must be sent to the WMDP for central processing. Acceptable donations will be added to the inventory listing and made available to Dispensing Sites. The WMDP receives funding from the Wyoming Legislature. Overall statistics of total medications donated and/or disposed are reported to support continued funding of the program.
