Facts about the State of Wyoming Respite Program
As a provider for the State of Wyoming Respite Program, you are not considered a State employee. No taxes will be deducted from your check.
The provider will be paid $8/hour for one eligible child. The provider will be paid for up to ten (10) hours during a 24 hour period and a flat fee of $80.00 will be paid.
The provider will be paid $5/hour per child when caring for two(2) eligible children, simultaneously, within the same family. If you are caring for two eligible children, simultaneously, in a ten (10) hour period a flat fee of $100.00 will be paid.
Parental co-payment is based upon the Parent Co-payment Schedule. The provider is responsible for asking the parent if they have a co- payment or call Rita at 777-7115. The provider is responsible for collecting the parent co-payment.
Respite providers will be paid on the 5th or the 20th of every month. We will need your invoices here at least 4 working days prior to the 5th or the 20th. Their accounting system will run on Tuesday and Friday nights. If the 5th or 20th falls on Saturday, Sunday or Monday the check will be cut on Tuesday. If it falls on Wednesday or Thursday, it will be cut on Friday. Remember also that the check will be mailed out the following day.
Provider must maintain copies of invoices for a period of three (3) years.
For the month of June, eighty (80) hours have been allocated to all families. We will be evaluating the allocation of hours quarterly.
The provider will restrict care to less than three (3) eligible children during the same time period to assure the attention necessary to adequately meet the needs of the child(ren).
As of July 1st, 1996, providers will have to pay for their FBI & DCI background checks. A money order, no personal checks will be accepted, made out to the Office of the Attorney General for $39.00 must accompany the cards.
Providers,
DO NOT
provide services unless you have received the approval letter from the Division of Developmental Disabilities. We
CANNOT
pay you for services provided prior to the approval date.
Providers will not be able to provide services till his/her background checks have been completed.
