We're the official site of the Healthy Aging® Campaign - a national ongoing health promotion designed to broaden awareness of the positive aspects of aging and to provide information and inspiration for adults, age 50+, to improve their physical, mental, social, and financial fitness.

iVillage better health
A site sponsored by Healthwise.  It's mission is to help a person make better health care decisions.  In addition to the Healthwise Knowledgebase, Better health also brings you mutual support in a variety of areas. The site begins with terms and conditions.  It is only a statement for a waiver of liability that the site is not responsible for what you do with the information on their site.  ALWAYS consult your physician when you find information on the internet.  Print it out, bring to your next visit, and discuss it with your physician.  iVillage also has links and pages of subjects that may be of interest to seniors.

National Center on Physical Activity and Disability
The National Center on Physical Activity and Disability encourages persons with disabilities to participate in regular physical activity as a means of promoting healthy lifestyles and preventing development of secondary conditions.

NIH SENIOR HEALTH
National Institute of Health Senior Health makes aging-related health information easily accessible for family members and friends seeking reliable, easy to understand online health information.

The Nursing Home Index
a listing of all informational documents pertaining to Nursing Home Decisions.

Parrot Software
A retail site that supplies treatment options for cognitive and communication problems; focusing on stroke, Alzheimer's, and head injuries, along with other cognitive problems.

WebMD
A site related strictly to health. It has personalized, authoritative health and medical information, support communities, breaking medical news.  "Health has a homepage" (personal note by web designer: When trying to search for topics, I had a hard time getting what I wanted.  It may be that it is busy, or it may not be the most user friendly site.  So, beware!)
